Vancouver Special

Not failed--attempts at beauty or stating--

they are unique, answers to the particular
questions. How can I fit my own--waiting--
family into my genitals? How hard
can I live on the land allotted? And how
to emulate the look of some elsewhere?
How to be of? What can't I afford now?
Or ever. Grace in the form of front lawns,
stucco sophisticate, all these arranged
and glittering bits of glass. I am wrong?
Connoisseurs prefer the sleek and strange,
not the reflective surface, the wood
that reminds--before its felling--of wood.
Once more--the renovated, the revealing--
this time further east; this time with feeling.
